MY NEW STUDIO!!!

Think of a time when you have been so excited you couldn't sleep! I am ten times more excited than that!

BACKSTORY

Last year I was beginning to feel like I needed to find my own space... It was time. I was outgrowing my living room workspace. My husband and I would often stress about having work and home in one place.

Finally, in January 2018 I started looking for a retail location. I made a list of the things that I wanted for my new studio space.

- Location in Rowlett or Rockwall

- Close to a major highway

- A kind landlord

- Between 500-1000 sq ft

- Store front

- Restroom in the space

- Private entrance

- Within my budget

- A large window

- Plenty of parking

- Easy to find

- Close to a floral shop

I visited a whole lot of locations, some of which I almost said yes to. Once I slept on it and prayed, it just didn't feel right! So I kept telling myself to be patient. I had to practice being sooooo patient! I like to think it was well worth it. I found a studio that had EVERYTHING on my list, plus more!

My favorite bonus is that it is across the street from Hobby Lobby, and less than 5 minutes away from Joann Fabrics and Home Goods. If you are a newborn photographer, you know exactly why that is such a sweet location!

This is what the space looked like before! We had to tear down (in my opinion) a very useless wall. It was blocking all of the natural light. It really opened up the space once it was gone.
